Wedding Preview Event 2011

On Sunday October 2nd we were lucky enough to be one of the featured experts at the very first Wedding Preview Event in Seattle!

The Wedding Preview Event is unlike any other bridal show in Seattle & we had a blast! We got to meet other wedding vendors in the area and see their amazing work. We really have some talent up here in the Northwest!

For anyone who doesn’t know how the event works, here’s a basic run down:
Local wedding experts are put together on teams to produce the best mock wedding. There are 3 weddings per event that all the attendees get to be a part of & they vote on who produced the best wedding. After the mock weddings, guests get to talk with all the experts that helped put on the weddings. Plus, the whole mingle time is set to some fun, reception-ey, dance music to keep the mood upbeat & fun!

The event was held at the Seattle Design Center, one of the places I dream about (I have more than a slight obsession with interior decorating). The event was produced by The Invisible Hostess, and boy, did she have her work cut out for her, but pulled it off with out a hitch! There were some amazing looking flowers, food, and tablescapes that I was drooling over! Everyone I spoke with, from other vendors to brides, was so excited to be there.

We were on team 3, and had a lovely “bride” named Mollie. She is a Seattle blogger & journalist, and boy did she look great in our jewelry! She wore our Jessica Necklace, Lily Earrings & Swarovski Crystal Stretch Bracelets from our KD Bridal Collection. Our teammates did an amazing job of putting together our wedding, with a little of our help, of course. Our efforts were spearheaded by Blue Elephant Events, the flowers were from Marigold & Mint, the dress from La Belle Reve, Frost Doughnuts provided some delicious looking (& smelling) treats & the list goes on. Although we were technically on opposing teams, we dressed the mannequins for From the Gown Up because KD Bridal Collection is featured in their shop!

The whole office will be putting in lots of hard work for the next couple of weeks, but in the end we will have a beautiful new catalog to send out.

Over here at Kazia Digo, we’re getting ready to launch our KD Bridal Collection. We had a photo shoot for an upcoming catalog this weekend, and wanted to share some of the behind the scenes pictures from the photo shoot.

We had some beautiful models, amazing jewelry (of course!) and a gorgeous setting. Although it was a bit chilly, the everyone pulled it off beautifully! We’ll share some of the final photos when we get them. Stay tuned!
